Coronavirus: Latest Update
I write further to the statement delivered by the Prime Minister last night (PM statement on coronavirus: 16 March 2020).
I can confirm that with immediate effect, if your child or anyone within the household in which they live has one of two key symptoms: a high temperature (classified as 37.8C or above) or a new, continuous cough, then they should stay at home for fourteen days.
To further increase health and safety, from tomorrow 18/03/2020, we ask that all parents/carers are to drop off and collect from the main door of the setting.
We are introducing these measures to reduce contamination within the nursery building as we are working around the clock in making sure we are germ free within our buildings.
We would like to thank you for your support during these difficult times, although should any of the above information cause you any concern or upset then please contact the setting manager.
Our aim at all times is making sure your child/children are in a safe environment at all times.
I would be grateful if you would continue to report your child’s absence to nursery as normal. This will help us to manage the high volume of calls we are currently experiencing.
We will write later today with further details of our response to the Prime Minister’s latest statement and thank you for your ongoing support during this challenging time.
