As the country goes into another National Lockdown on the 5th November, I want to reassure you that we are continuing to be vigilant in protecting your children and our staff across Lime Tree Nursery.
We are aware that some parents will be anxious about sending their child/children to the nursery so we again want to reassure you all that we will continue to ensure that your children and all our staff remain safe at all time within the nursery. This is and has always been our number one priority. We set out a letter/ plan to all parents when the lockdown was initially announced in March, and everything outlined within that letter still remains although we have adapted some details to ensure further safety measures are taken.
We continue to offer pre-booked visits only ideally when the setting is closed or when numbers are at a minimum so all the children attending can be taken outside. This is only where parents can not visit in an evening or at a weekend and everything is thoroughly cleaned before the children return to indoor play.
We do not allow non-essential visitors to enter the setting when children are present.
All our parents/carers are asked to wear a mask when dropping off and collecting your children from our setting. This is to protect all parents, staff and children and this will be continuing unless parents are exempt as before.
We have been fortunate so far regarding positive cases, and this is thanks to all our parents/carers and staff ensuring they continue to follow the government guidance and as before we are asking for your help in ensuring that we continue to protect all our families and staff, therefore:
If you have symptoms then you should self-isolate and book a test. Even if your child is not showing any symptoms they need to self-isolate too, as they may be asymptomatic and carry the virus. If any member of your household shows symptoms then all your household must self isolate.
In the event of a bubble closure, we will contact all parents throughout the isolating period to ensure the children are doing well and offer any support needed. If a child is vulnerable or self-isolating, we will, of course, provide any additional resources to parents ensure the children continue to flourish as they would within nursery (If this applies to you then please contact the setting manager who will email over some learning sheets that suits your child’s current development levels).
It is important that we continue to work together to enable us to come through this crisis, please protect your children and family by upholding the lockdown and following the guidance.
Thank you for your continued support,
Lime Tree Nursery
