Staff Trainer Manager

Our first nursery was established in 2016 and our mission is to “make learning fun for everyone”. This role will play a vital part in ensuring that our parents receive the best-in-class quality care and support the growth of our children.

At Lime Tree Nursery (Rotherham) Ltd we are looking for a Staff Trainer manager to have full operational responsibility of staff for Lime Tree, working closely with Our Area operations Manager to ensure our Ofsted ratings are maintained and improved with the aim of, driving our services forward in obtaining an Outstanding rating for all 5 Nurseries.

To lead and support Lime Tree’s experienced team to ensure timely recruitment of high-quality Early Years qualified staff with focused and effective strategies for engagement and retention.

  • Building relationships with all staff across the whole company
  • Responsibility for ensuring our staffing numbers are cost-effective.
  • Supporting Lime Tree in developing further our strategic business plan.
  • Ensuring there is a key focus on Learning and Development for all our staff including the delivery of essential job need training, monitoring E-Learning and working collaboratively with our external trainer to assess training suitability for our workforce.
  • Being the Registered Nominated Individual for Lime Tree in the Community.
  • Overseeing Finance and Budgets regarding staff costings.
  • Supporting the director and area operations manager with business development and growth.
  • Overseeing Health & Safety company-wide.
  • Sound experience of Quality Assurance and Compliance of the EYFS Framework


  • Sound experience of Quality Assurance and Compliance
  • Operational experience in the Childcare sector
  • Experience of Ofsted inspections
  • Finance, Budget and management of given and set accounts.
  • Ability to handle difficult and testing situations.
  • Customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Sound business acumen.
  • Adaptability in situations where needs arise and change quickly.


  • A Level 5 Leadership Qualification in Early Years (foundation degree onwards)
  • Management experience within the childcare service of at least 3 years.
  • Must hold a full and current driving licence.

Nursery Manager

Lime Tree Nursery LTD are looking to employ a full-time Nursery Manager to start ASAP. The position is full-time working 40 hours per week. Exact shift times would be confirmed if successful at interview.

Main responsibilities include:

  • To deliver and ensure a high standard of learning, development, and care for children.
  • To manage the day-to-day activities of the setting.
  • To manage staff within the nursery.
  • To ensure that the nursery is a safe environment for children, staff, and others.
  • To develop partnerships with parents/carers to encourage involvement in their child’s development.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of recent experience working as a nursery Manager.
  • Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and current Ofsted statutory guidance.
  • Knowledge and proven practical experience of implementing good quality learning opportunities.
  • Experience and knowledge of safeguarding procedures and SENDcO

Preferred but not essential:

  • A Degree qualification within Early years
  • A Full Paediatric first aid certificate
  • Food hygiene
  • A full current driving licence

Supply Early Years Practitioner

Have 2+ years experience within an early years setting. x
Have a working knowledge of observing, supporting and extending children’s learning x

Have an understanding of child development birth-5yrs x
Willingness to improve own practice through training x
To have sound knowledge of the EYFS x
Ability to attend to children’s personal needs x
Ability to be able to set up and clear away displays and activities, ensuring resources are clean and safe for children to use x
Paediatric 1st Aid Trained x
To have completed basic safeguarding training, including the prevent duty and FGM x
To have trained in food hygiene x
To have sound knowledge of British values and how we implement those into an early years setting x
To be on the update system for DBS x
To have a valid UK drivers licence x
